Giacum Frei

Former professional skier, Giacum is one of the main explorers and founders of Skeena Heli-Skiing Exclusive Arrangement. A certified UIAGM guide, Jake takes on the main role as operations manager during the winter months and is active with all other aspects of Skeena Heliskiing during the rest of the year.  Jake has over 12 years in Heliskiing Experience and over 15 years experience in the skiing industry not to mention he has spent the better part of his life searching for and skiing untouched lines where ever he can find them.

Apart from his role as a heliskiing lead guide, Jake has been involved with the Swiss Institute of Avalanche Research, developer of the “Free Ride Mini Guide”, various avalanche control activities, ski resort safety planning, guides examinations and numerous year round guiding activities around the globe.
